In this satisfying street food video, we're traveling to Oaxaca, Mexico, to taste the world famous Barbacoa Lamb, cooked underground whole and served to us whole! Mexico is a true MEAT HEAVEN, especially when it comes to juicy, spicy lamb that you can find right on the street!
Barbacoa is a famous Lamb dish found all throughout Mexico, and we were super lucky to watch the cooking process of one of the most famous Mexican cuisines.
When we walked up, we saw the whole lamb hanging there ready to butcher and cut into smaller pieces.
In Mexico, sometimes goat is used, but the process is always similar.
It is cut up and covered in a chili sauce or a garlic salt and then put underground to slowly cook for about 3 hours.
This was the best Mexican food I've ever tried!
To start the day off, I first tried a Mexican breakfast, and then met up with my friend Javier who brought me to the famous Barbacoa restaurant to watch the lamb recipe and the entire cooking process.
it was the most amazing, satisfying street food to watch cooking!
Here is the address to the two Mexican food places we visited in this street food video:
1) Huge Mexican Breakfast including Eggs and Mole Coloradito @ Comedor Juanita, Tlacolula, Oaxaca, Mexico
2) Whole Lamb Barbacoa @ El Sazonde La Abuela Restaurant in Tlacolula, Oaxaca, Mexico
